Terms of Use
TEFLIQ is an independent advertising directory. TEFLIQ does not employ teachers, deliver lessons, schedule classes, collect lesson payments, guarantee teacher performance or become a party to agreements between teachers and students. Students browse profiles and contact teachers at their own discretion.
Teachers are solely responsible for their services, pricing, payments, taxes, lesson delivery, scheduling, refunds, cancellations, student communication and compliance with laws in their country.
Teacher Advertising Agreement
Teachers pay US$15 per month for profile advertising. This fee purchases directory visibility only; it does not buy leads, bookings, income or approval. Teachers set their own rates and keep 100% of lesson income. TEFLIQ takes no lesson commission and does not require unpaid trial lessons.
A profile is visible only when its subscription is active and its content is approved. Failed, cancelled or expired subscriptions automatically hide the profile from search and the map without deleting saved information. Paying again may reactivate a compliant profile.
Privacy Policy
TEFLIQ processes account details, profile information, uploaded media, verification evidence, subscription status, reports and moderation records to operate and protect the directory. Public profile fields are displayed to students. Sensitive verification information is restricted to authorised administrators and service providers.
Teachers should publish only contact information they want students to use. Users may request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting admin@tefliq.com. Some records may be retained where reasonably required for fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance or disputes.
Community Standards
Profiles must relate directly to professional English teaching. Nudity, sexual or suggestive content, violence, harassment, hate speech, scams, impersonation, misleading qualifications, illegal material and unrelated advertising are prohibited. All new and materially updated profiles are manually reviewed before publication.
Reviews are published only after moderation. Every profile includes Report Profile and Report Content controls. TEFLIQ may approve, reject, hide, suspend, restore or permanently remove content to protect users and the service.
Refund Policy
The monthly fee pays for advertising access and is generally non-refundable once a subscription period begins. Cancellation stops future renewals. Removal for misuse, false information, prohibited content or other Community Standards violations does not qualify for a refund. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights that apply under relevant law.
Safety and Scam Prevention
Users must be at least 18. A parent or legal guardian must arrange, pay for and supervise lessons for anyone under 18. Minors may not independently create accounts, publish contact information or contact teachers through TEFLIQ.
Do not share passwords, one-time PINs, banking logins or identity-document numbers. Agree prices, cancellation terms and refunds before payment. Report suspicious conduct immediately using the profile controls or email admin@tefliq.com.
Complaint and Takedown Procedure
Reports receive a reference number and enter the moderation queue. Reports involving threats, sexual conduct, children, impersonation or suspected criminal activity are treated as high risk and may result in temporary profile hiding while reviewed. TEFLIQ may decide whether an advertisement remains listed but does not promise to resolve private lesson or payment disputes.
Approval and Verification Policy
Administrator Approved means only that the advertisement, profile information and uploaded media passed TEFLIQ’s content review and had an active advertising membership at publication. It is not an identity check, criminal-background check, guarantee, recommendation or endorsement. TEFLIQ will display any additional verification badge only after that specific check has genuinely been completed.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
Users may request access, correction, a profile download, account closure or deletion where legally permitted. Private verification records are retained only while reasonably necessary for directory operation, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or disputes, then securely deleted. Marketing consent may be withdrawn separately.
Contact and Business Information
Safety, privacy and legal queries may be sent to admin@tefliq.com. A lawful business or service address will be added when available. TEFLIQ does not publish the owner’s residential address, personal telephone, identity number, private PayPal email or banking details.
